Patrick and Jenny - for years - called this unique 2-storey loft home in Mimico. Their space was the epitome of loft living. They had the open concept master retreat, a renovated kitchen, and even outdoor space with a BBQ.
Over the years they had renovated almost every square inch of the loft to make it their own. In 2016 they gutted the upstairs and built a one-of-a-kind master retreat. Downstairs the kitchen was redone, the floors replaced throughout, and new pot lights and fixtures as well to bring even more light into the space... even though it's not really needed due to the massive windows in the living room.
As their daughter grew up though they began dreaming of a backyard, an extra bedroom, and a little more space for their family of three to spread out in.
They started exploring their options in early 2018 and decided that they ultimately needed a new space to call home. Listen to their story about working with us.
What We Did To Sell Their Home
The space was already unique, but had several challenges to overcome as well. Their home was lived in, which is great for day-to-day, but when selling, everything needs to be perfect. Therefore the decision to bring in Renee Elliot, the #BossLady and head stylist at Re:creative Styling to stage the home was a no-brainer.
The home was almost completely emptied out of furniture. Renee brought in modern and on-trend pieces that blended with Patrick and Jenny's remaining pieces, and really gave the loft the "wow" factor it deserved.
We also recommended repairs and small cosmetic changes, in partnership with Renee, that would help bring it all together. Patrick & Jenny painted the entire unit, replaced some flooring, and even had the kitchen cabinets sprayed a different colour before listing.
